The Bridge gives Anthony Veder employees access to information about the fleet. The existing solution was ready for replacement. The obvious route was a stand-alone rebuild with a matching budget. But we had just built the Anthony Veder Customer Portal, and we saw a smarter path: reuse that foundation and deliver the production version of The Bridge 2.0 in under a month.

We built The Bridge 2.0 as a loosely coupled extension of the existing platform: new APIs as stand-alone services, single sign-on through Okta, and integration with IMOS for vessel data. Three one-week sprints with a compact team of 2.5 FTE, with users at every demo. Being a partner rather than a supplier sometimes means advising against the bigger project and cashing in the investment already made.
Full feature parity with the old Bridge: fleet overview, fleet management and vessel details. Llive within three weeks, on infrastructure that was already proven. And a step towards the longer-term vision: one central intelligence for everyone at Anthony Veder who works with the fleet.
